Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has sought the names of army officials who failed to furnish their property along with real estate details in the previous fiscal year. This is the second time the CIAA asked for the names of defaulting army officials. NVC had turned down its first request saying action could be taken against the officials within the army as per the Army Act. According to the Anti Corruption Act, any official holding public position should submit details of his or her property within 60 days of each fiscal year. In a press release issued, the commission said it has asked the National Vigilance Centre (NVC) to provide the details of army officials who had not submitted their property details last year.
